Please note: we are full in all cabins from mid-June thru mid-Sept as we are completely booked with returning summer guests. We are open year-round so we hope that you’ll be able to visit us another time.
Reservations cannot be made online, but we are happy to reserve a cabin for you over the phone during office hours. All reservations require a deposit in the amount of 50% of the pre-tax total of your stay.
There is a $25 cancellation fee for each cabin cancelled. Your deposit (50% of the pre-tax amount of your stay) will be refunded minus this fee if you cancel more than 14 days before your stay in Oct-May and more than 21 days before your June-Sept or holiday reservation. The deposit will not be refunded if canceled after these deadlines. If you fail to cancel (no-show), no refund will be made and the full amount excluding tax will be charged. No refunds will be made for early departures.
** Update for COVID -19 CANCELLATIONS: In the event that we are required to cancel your reservation please read the following. We will work with each guest in order of arrival date, so please let us know how you would like to proceed by email within a week of receiving a cancellation letter. We only have one person working in the office at a time right now. Thank you in advance for your patience.
1. Would you like to keep your booking for the following year or move your deposit to a gift certificate to be used at a future date?
2. Of this deposit amount, would you like to donate any portion of it to our operating costs to help cover our losses for this closure?
3. If you do not plan to return in the future and would like a refund we will retain the $25 fee required for processing a refund on the rest of your deposit.
All cabins have a 7 night minimum stay from mid-June thru Labor Day weekend. For the remainder of September and all holidays, all cabins & apartments require a 3 night minimum stay. All other times, there is a 2 night minimum stay for all cabins, other than the Beachcomber, which has a three-night minimum stay.
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT POLICY
Check-in is 4pm and check-out is 10am. If you arrive after office hours your key will be in an envelope on the office door. These times may be flexible during the off season but must be arranged in advance by office staff. We do not offer daily housekeeping and towels may be exchanged after 3 days to help conserve island water. Please follow CHECK OUT REMINDERS posted in your cabin to avoid extra cleaning fees.
PETS AND OTHER RESTRICTIONS: We CANNOT welcome pets of ANY kind or size (even in a car). If you’d like to board your pet while visiting Orcas Island there are on-island pet care services that can help.
NO SMOKING allowed anywhere. This includes outside on decks, the beach, the driveways.
NO DRONES, FIREWORKS OR PERSONAL FIREPITS ALLOWED
There is a $15 per night charge for additional guests. Some units cannot accommodate extra guests. Please inquire with the office at the time of your reservation to determine if an additional guest is permitted.
CELLPHONE & INTERNET SERVICE
Due to our remote location, cellphone service is almost non-existent at Beach Haven. (If you have Verizon or Tmobile, you MAY get service, but will likely roam to Canada, so it may be wise to alert Verizon that you are not crossing any borders.) All major carriers offer service in Eastsound just 3 miles from our property. There is a phone located just outside the office for guest use 24/7 for local and emergency calls. Long-distance calls can only be made from this phone using a pre-paid calling card.
There is password protected WiFi available in the office area for a quick check of your email or download for up to 15 minutes per day. Please do no plan to “work” from here. Enzo’s Caffe, the Orcas Public Library and Orcas Online (all in Eastsound) offer connections for longer periods of time.
There are no televisions, telephones or internet access in any of our accommodations. Our guests tell us that the luxury of unplugging is one of our best amenities.
If you would like to invite friends or family members to visit you during the day or for a meal please contact management for prior approval. Inviting others to visit creates more noise, less space on the beach and parking issues for our registered guests.
