Getting here is half the fun

There are two ways to get to Orcas Island: by boat and by air. Most visitors & residents travel by ferry to and from Anacortes, WA.

Visit the Washington State Ferry website for the current sailing schedule. Reservations are highly recommended — book online or call 1-888-808-7977.

If flying is more your style, there are regular flights from Seattle & Bellingham by San Juan Airlines and Kenmore Air.

I-5 to Anacortes

From I-5 take exit 230 for Highway 20 WEST to Anacortes. Follow signs for San Juan Islands/BC Ferries, approximately 20 miles.

Ferry to Orcas Island

The scenic ferry ride from Anacortes takes about one hour. Reservations are highly recommended.

Ferry Dock to Beach Haven

Follow Orcas Rd for 8.5 miles past the Eastsound turn lane. Turn left onto Enchanted Forest Rd and continue 2.5 miles. Turn right onto Beach Haven Rd just past Kimple Rd — look for our wooden sign at the driveway.

Reservations are HIGHLY recommended for ferry travel to and from the San Juan Islands.

Travel by ferry takes approximately one hour from Anacortes to Orcas Island and is a scenic introduction to the San Juan Islands.
